I currently work in the Southern suburbs of Cape Town – primarily at Golden Grove Primary, Groote Schuur Primary and Keurboom Nursery school, where children can have speech-language therapy sessions in-house.
I see children from surrounding areas at my rooms at Golden Grove Primary School in Rondebosch.
I do not submit claims directly to medical aids, but parents are able to submit their paid invoices for reimbursement, if they are covered for speech and language therapy by their medical aids.

Services offered
Individual Assessment
Individual assessment & therapy for young children up to primary school age. Assessments cover areas outlined on the home page, such as articulation, language, and phonological awareness. The assessment informs the areas that need to be worked on & developed in therapy.
Hearing Screening
Hearing screening at schools – for example, whole grades once a year: these are not diagnostic tests but indicate whether hearing loss may be present in learners. Learners are referred for diagnostic tests where necessary.
Parent Consultations
Consultation with parents and other professionals on speech-language challenges – the holistic management of a child is of the utmost importance and a team approach is always best.
Speech & Language Screening
Speech and language screening at schools – for example, whole classes at schools. Screenings can indicate whether a more comprehensive assessment is necessary.
Training Workshops for:
1) Teachers: for example, to help identify what to look out for in children and which children need to be referred for assessments. I have also trained teachers on the importance of developing phonological awareness skills.
2) Parents: for example, to help identify speech and language milestones in children, as well as how to stimulate language development through play.

Rubina has worked with us for seven years and has been a wonderful addition to our team. She has a kind, gentle and professional manner when working with the children and parents alike.
